The Art of Recycling by Eric Vandecasteele Synopsis The art of recycling is a certain way of recycling. It is also a certain number of ways that today govern creation in art and design. Going beyond their own shelf life, objects enter into a general strategy of production which raises questions about their transformation. A priori recyclable, their existence will be nomadic. The aim of this work is not to standardize all the current practices of recycling, artistic or otherwise, but to question, through exemplary cases, the underlying reasons for our rage at recycling today.
Review 1 This is no ordinary book about waste management. Read this book for a different perspective on recycling but If you are looking for rules and regulations this is not the book for you. I did enjoy reading this though in places it sags with the weight of its rhetoric. (Posted by rudologie)
Review 2 I gave it a go but sorry to say I had to give up about halfway. (Posted by Skip Hire)
