Recycling and Recovery - How to Recycle Everything

Recycling and Recovery - How to Recycle Everything by Ines Peyret Synopsis This book asks the question: how can we recycle discarded objects intelligently and without wastage? It deals with objects of all kinds, including clothing and linens, plastic packaging, cardboard and glass, and industrial waste. Finally, the author shows us how we can convert certain foods while observing the mandatory rules of hygiene and conservation. This practical guide is a dictionary of how to recycle everything. This dictionary of how to recycle everything teaches us thousands of tips and tricks to recover and transform objects of all kinds (socks, cans, corks, CDs, tennis balls, clothing, paper, cards, books, baby food jars , furniture, caps, utensils, tools etc., and the list goes on). It also teaches us how to recycle and reuse all manner of food items, including coffee grounds, banana skins, cooking water, cooking oil, vinegars, and lots more. Donate what you no longer want, and - whatever the season - think about what you can recover or recycle.

Review 1 This guide talks about everything with great conviction. In the words of the Greek philosophers, "nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything changes!" Now, whenever you raise the lid of your trash can, ask yourself what else you could do to give life to your yoghurt pot, used tea bag, plastic bottles... (Posted by Simian)

Review 2 Most local councils in the UK now have recycling schemes in place to deal with paper, cardboard, glass and plastics. However, such schemes don’t deal with everything and some don’t recycle plastics. This book is a treasure trove of ideas for alternative uses, especially items that are often discarded without much thought. (Posted by Skip Hire)

Review 3 A worthwhile read to equip the imagination before we dispose of goods or materials. If each person followed this advice, we would seriously reduce our rubbish. (Posted by Brown Owl)

Review 4 Tips and tricks for how to do everything in the garden, what to do with old vinegars - this book has a humorous touch and was a very pleasant read. Ines Peyret delivers valuable advice on recycling and his advice is all within the realms of possibility. You do not need to be a specialist to implement his suggestions on the recycling of paper, clothing etc ... In times of crisis and waste this book is a true Bible which we should all consult before rushing off to discard and invade waste disposal centers. (Posted by Florence)
