Photoshop Elements 9 for Photographers by Marc Kloskowski Synopsis This is a book on web development that covers all aspects of photo manipulation, including editing, creating and sharing. The new version of Photoshop Elements is more than ever the perfect companion for all photographers who want to optimize their images. With version 9 (for Mac and PC), Adobe has added more editing features aimed at professional-level digital photo enthusiasts. The book shows you how to use masks and apply the style from one photo to another, how to use the fill feature taking into account the content, how to use the new healing brush, and so on. Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski use their long experience of Photoshop Elements to provide practical solutions to recurring problems encountered by amateur photographers alike, such as poorly exposed photos, poor framing, faded colours, and red-eye. Recommended for anyone interested in the photographic aspects of web development.
Review 1 This big book of 430 pages is an essential book on web development which allows you to explore thoroughly the many opportunities that Photoshop Elements 9 offers with much practical help. Both authors Kelby and Kloskowski are great teachers and examples of manipulation, step by step, are very well explained. The chapter CAMERA RAW is a model of explanation. On the other hand, the two authors do not hesitate to explain the settings they typically use, based on their experiences. This avoids time-consuming research. Here is the book to have always at hand when working with images with excellent software like Photoshop Elements 9. If you are involved in any way with images in your web development, this is a useful book to have. (Posted by Jacques)
Review 2 I rarely read software manuals cover to cover, especially when you need just a small section of a usually massive content. For photographers however this is an essential reference work for the latest Photoshop features. (Posted by Web Design Shrewsbury)
