100 Tips for TYPO3 - Typical Pitfalls to Recognize and Avoid By Patrick Lobacher and Volker Krell Synopsis Even experienced users of TYPO3 stumble over the pitfalls because of the wide range of actions that is needed before the system runs quickly and safely. There are many options to choose, regarding for instance: installation, rights management, user management, templates, TypoScript, extensions, integration, search engine optimization, available languages, numerous configuration options - many choices but also sources of error. Accompanied with extensive introductions, this book discusses the "most popular" mistakes encountered in dealing with the system. With years of experience from projects and training courses, the authors help with security issues, time-consuming troubleshooting and avoiding dead ends. In 100 specific scenarios you also learn a lot about the "Best Practices" in order to run TYPO3 and ensure a stable, high-performing and error-proof system. Benefit from the accumulated experience of these professionals!

Review 1 Of all the open source content management systems I have come across, I think TYPO3 was the most bulky on download. So you can’t help but wonder what features this CMS has got that the other (less bulky) systems haven’t. For a beginner, it is fairly complex and does take some getting used to. This book is a useful book of tips but I think probably best understood if you already have some experience of TYPO3. (Posted by Web Design Shrewsbury)

Review 2 TYPO3 is fantastic when you have the hang of it got. I recommend this book to novice or expert! (Posted by Schwartzkopf)

Review 3 If the most common pitfalls total 100, how many other pitfalls are there? With so many pitfalls, is it worth using? Why don't they just makes things that are easy to understand? (Posted by Disappointed from Worthing)
